Transfer ‘I’m very pleased to have you here’ – Ole Gunnar Solskjær tell Ndidi

Nigeria International, Wilfred Ndidi, has been hailed by Besiktas manager, Ole Gunnar Solskjaer.
The former Manchester United boss praised the former Leicester City midfielder ahead of Besiktas’ UEFA Conference League playoff first-leg tie against Swiss outfit Lausanne-Sport on Thursday.
Solskjaer and Ndidi came up against each other multiple times during their time with Leicester and Man United respectively.
Solskjaer was the manager at Old Trafford when Ndidi and Leicester beat Man United 3-1 in the quarterfinals of the FA Cup in March 2021.
Ndidi, 28, is part of Besiktas’ travelling party to Switzerland and was also selected to brief the press.
Addressing a pre-match press conference, Solskjaer said he was glad to have the Super Eagles star in his team.
“A couple of words about Wilfred, he has answered well for himself,” the Besiktas coach told reporters.
“You see he’s a highly professional footballer, a great human being and he gives us something that we haven’t had.
“I am very pleased to have him here, very pleased to have a leader like him, and he will contribute a lot to the team in the coming months and years, so I am very happy that we signed him.”
DAILY POST reports that the 28-year-old Nigeria International moved to Besiktas from Leicester City this summer.
