Gov Sani applauded as Nuhu Bamalli Poly excels at COMPODET competition

Governor Uba Sani’s commitment to human capital development has started bearing fruits, with the feat recorded by Nuhu Bamalli Polytechnic at the 2025 Committee of Deans of Polytechnics and Colleges of Technology, (COMPODET) competition.

The Rector of the Polytechnic, Engr Muhammad Kabir Abdullahi, who stated this in a statement, disclosed that Mr Luka Ado, a student of the polytechnic, clinched the National Diploma category at the 2025 edition of COMPODET

The statement explained that COMPODET is a competition that is endorsed by the Council for the Regulation of Engineering in Nigeria (COREN) and it holds yearly.

Engr Abdullahi further explained that the best students in both the National and Higher National Diploma categories are usually determined by experts after presentations.

‘’Nuhu Bamali Polytechnic did Kaduna State proud as Mr Ado’s project, ‘Fabrication and Testing of Waste Oil Stove’ was adjudged the best in the National Diploma category, ‘’ he said.

According to the Rector, Mr Ado’s project ‘’leverages waste-to-energy technology to provide affordable, sustainable cooking solutions which is a timely contribution to environmental conservation and alternative energy utilisation.’’

Engr Abdullahi, who disclosed that Mr Ado received his certificate on July 14, 2025, described it ‘’as a testament to the student’s ingenuity, dedication and high standard of training offered by the polytechnic.’’

The Rector recalled that Nuhu Bamalli Polytechnic recorded a similar feat last year, where its Electrical Engineering and Computer Engineering students both came third in the Higher National Diploma and National Diploma categories.

He praised Governor Uba Sani for creating the enabling environment at the Nuhu Bamalli Polytechnic for its students to excel, adding that the institution is becoming a standard bearer in technical and technology education.
