EPL: Arteta will favour Havertz over Gyokeres in Arsenal’s big games – Carragher

Liverpool legend, Jamie Carragher believes Arsenal manager, Mikel Arteta will go back to use Kai Havertz over Viktor Gyokeres in the club’s big games this season.
Recall that Gyokeres, who joined Arsenal from Sporting CP this summer, started ahead of Havertz against Manchester United in their Premier League opener on Sunday.
The Sweden international had just 21 touches off the ball and failed to register a single shot on target before being replaced by Havertz on the hour mark.
Arsenal won the game 1-0, thanks to Riccardo Calafiori’s goal, but Carragher believes that Gyokeres may soon find himself starting from the bench as Havertz will make a return to the starting XI against Liverpool ending of this month.
“If I am being honest, I think they will go back to Havertz in the big games,” Carragher said on Sky Sports.
“I can see Gyokeres playing and scoring goals. I think next week they play Leeds but the week after [against Liverpool] I would be very surprised if Havertz doesn’t play.
“I think Havertz, in Mikel Arteta’s eyes, is a player who is too important to be left out week after week. I don’t see that happening at all.”
