Transfer: Real Madrid contact Arsenal over Rodrygo, Saliba deal as Roma wait for Sancho

Real Madrid recently contacted Arsenal over a potential swap deal involving Rodrygo and William Saliba.

According to The Touchline, Arsenal rejected the proposal, making it clear they would only consider Rodrygo in a straight signing.

Real Madrid are keen to bring Saliba to Santiago Bernabéu this summer, while Arsenal are also interested in signing Rodrygo for the Emirates Stadium.

Meanwhile, in another development, AS Roma are still awaiting Manchester United winger Jadon Sancho’s final decision following their contract proposal to the England international.

According to Fabrizio Romano, Manchester United are prepared to accept a £20m loan fee plus an obligation to buy Sancho.

Sancho returned to Manchester United this summer after a loan spell at Chelsea.

The former Borussia Dortmund star is not part of Manchester United manager Rúben Amorim’s plans for the new season.
