Katsina: Safana LGA signs truce with bandits, ends attacks in Gemi Forest

The Safana Local Government Area, LGA, in Katsina State has signed a truce with bandits operating in the Gemi Forest, pledging to end attacks and harassment in the area.
The development was disclosed in a post on Sunday by security analyst Bakatsine via his X handle.
According to the report, both sides have agreed that farmers and herders will be free to work, trade, and access services without fear.
The LGA has also promised to repair schools, clinics, and dams serving Fulani communities in the area.
“Safana LGA signs truce with bandits in Gemi Forest. Both sides pledge no more attacks or harassment; farmers and herders free to work, trade, and access services. The LGA promises school, clinic, and dam repairs for Fulani communities,” the post read.
