Educational Level

Agoro’s educational pursuit was marked by excellence and dedication. He began his academic career at St. Gregory College in Lagos State, where he earned both his Ordinary and Advanced Level diplomas. Following this fundamental education, his interest in the law led him to the Leeds Metropolitan University in Leeds, England, where he pursued his LLB (Hons.) Law degree from 1990 to 1993.

In his pursuit of legal knowledge, Agoro continued his study by attending the Nigeria Law School in Lagos from 1994 to 1996, where he honed his legal skills.

Agoro pursued a (LLM) in Petroleum Law and Policy at the acclaimed Centre for Energy Petroleum Mineral Law and Policy (CEPMLP) at the University of Dundee, Scotland, in 1999, demonstrating a commitment to specialization in the legal sector.

This scholastic endeavor brought him to the heart of the global oil business, where he gained insight into the complexity of petroleum law and policy.

In September 2002, he was admitted to practice as a Solicitor in England and Wales, a key milestone in his legal career that reflected his expertise and dedication to the legal profession. This accomplishment demonstrated his ability to traverse the complex legal landscapes of two powerful jurisdictions.

In order to broaden his knowledge and qualifications, Agoro took a Certificate Course in Public and Private Partnership Infrastructure in a Market Economy at Harvard University’s John F. Kennedy School of Government in Cambridge, Massachusetts, USA, in 2006. This educational experience exposed him to the complex interplay of law, public policy, and infrastructure development.

Agoro’s dedication to academic success was rewarded in 1998 when he was awarded a scholarship in Student Fellowship Petroleum Law at CEPMLP, University of Dundee, Scotland. This scholarship not only demonstrated his commitment to the field of petroleum law but also contributed to his expanding skill in this specialized area of law.

Career

Bode Agoro began his career as a legal officer at Technologies Limited in London, where he polished his legal abilities and used them to better his community. From 1999 to 2000, he held this role. He traveled down to Lagos State after leaving the position and became a civil servant, which also had a huge impact.

He made significant contributions to the public sector while serving in numerous roles. From 2003 to 2005, he served as Director of land Services, where he was instrumental in managing land-related services and concerns.

Agoro went on to serve as a Director in Land Regularization from 2006 to 2015 as a result of his hunger and passion for improving land management in Lagos state. During this time, he played a key role in streamlining and regularizing land ownership and use in the state, resulting in more effective land administration.
