Education
From 1964 until 1970, he went to Kofar Kuyambana Primary School (Zaria Town School Number One). He then joined Zaria Barewa College, where he finished his studies between 1971 and 1975. Then, from 1976 to 1978, he attended Katsina College of Arts, Science, and Technology in Zaria to pursue his studies.
He received both the Interim Joint Matriculation Board Certificate (IJMB) and the General Certificate of Education Advanced Level (GCE A-Level) in November 1977.
In 1978, he enrolled at Ahmadu Bello University in Zaria to continue his academic career. He was successful in receiving from the institution a Bachelor of Science in Political Science in 1981.
He continued his schooling by earning an M.Sc. in Political Science at Ahmadu Bello University between 1984 and 1986. He also attended management courses for CEOs and professionals.
