Four killed as bandits invade Yar Unguwa in Katsina

At least four people have been killed after armed bandits attacked Yar Unguwa community in the Rawayau district of Kurfi Local Government Area, Katsina State.
The attack happened late Saturday night, leaving many residents injured while a large number of cattle and other livestock were rustled.
This was revealed in a post shared on Sunday by security analyst Bakatsine.
“Yesterday night, bandits stormed Yar Unguwa community in Rawayau district, Kurfi LGA, Katsina State. They killed four people, injured many & rustled a large number of cattle and livestock,” Bakatsine wrote.
Similarly, earlier on Sunday afternoon, security forces allegedly shot a young man during a peaceful protest in Mairua community, Faskari Local Government Area of the state.
According to Bakatsine, the protest was organised by residents who were angry over the growing insecurity in their area.
“This afternoon, security forces allegedly shot a youth during a peaceful protest in Mairua, Faskari LGA, Katsina State. Residents blocked Gusau-Funtua road to protest rising insecurity in the axis,” Bakatsine added.
Authorities are yet to officially comment on either incident at the time of this report.
