Woman loses pregnancy after contracting STD from cheating husband

A Nigerian woman reportedly lost her pregnancy after contracting a sexually transmitted infection from her husband, who was allegedly cheating on her with his baby mama.

Despite the trauma and medical complications that followed, the abuse didn’t end there months later, she was allegedly beaten unconscious by the same man.

This was revealed in a detailed account shared by her close friend via a post on X (formerly Twitter), outlining a disturbing pattern of infidelity, physical abuse, emotional manipulation, and neglect that followed the woman’s rushed marriage in 2023.

According to the narrator, her friend’s husband maintained contact with his baby mama even after marriage and continued to visit the home they previously shared, exposing his wife to infections.

The resulting STD led to the loss of her pregnancy.

The situation escalated further in February 2024 when the woman was rushed to the hospital after allegedly being physically assaulted by her husband until she lost consciousness.

Medical reports noted visible bruises and bleeding, which the husband allegedly downplayed as an “asthma attack.”

“Let me tell you a little story. In 2022, a very close friend of mine was supposed to get married. Introduction was done, families met, everything set. But life happened, and the relationship didn’t work out.”

“Fast forward to 2023, a certain @unkle_seun slid into her DMs. They started talking. He came off as sweet, caring, mature. She had just gotten a new job in Lagos and relocated. Fresh start, right? Or so we thought.”

“They got married. Even though I told her it was rushed… I was not around then but she carried me along every step.”

“Two months into the marriage, the guy’s younger sister came with her son to stay. As if that was not enough, my friend got to know that her husband has a baby mama which his parents are aware of.”

“My friend decided to keep her home because no marriage is perfect, yeah? The baby mama started calling the husband day and night, sending text messages, praying for him, all sorts of drama. My friend called me and I told her to be calm honestly, because you’ve already accepted there’s no going back.”

“It got to a point she found out that the house he lived in before they got married was the same house the baby mama and the child were staying in. Guess what? This guy still goes back, playing home and away. Chai.”

“That was how the problem started. There was a day she called me and said her husband is cheating on her and that she caught him several times. All I told her was sorry, because she didn’t listen to me. Honestly, I was really pissed.”

“A lot of times she told me she’s treating infections and so on, and her husband kept giving it to her. I don’t really meddle with relationship stuff, but this one is definitely worth it. She got pregnant and the pregnancy ended due to complications – STDs.”

“Fast forward to February 2024. I was coming to Nigeria and my friend told me she was going to take leave at work so she could have time to take care of herself before trying to get pregnant again. We had plans and all.”

“I got a disturbing call from our other friends that she was rushed to the hospital. I was scared because she’s asthmatic sometimes her inhaler doesn’t work if care is not taken. I asked what the problem was, and they told me it was her husband that beat her till she was unconscious.”

“What looked like love quickly turned into manipulation, emotional damage… and worse. The same man who claimed to love her turned into a monster. But she kept quiet for her peace, her healing, her sanity.”

“He knew her younger sister just died, the trauma her family just went through, and he wanted to put them through it again? How wicked can you get?”

“Silence is not always golden. Since you’ve decided to play smart online, I’ll be reminding you of your offline demons. You beat her. You gaslighted her. You did things no man should ever do to a woman, and now you want to act innocent? Screenshots, VNs, Photos… Loading.”

“According to the nurse, she could barely speak, body covered in marks. She was weak, crying, barely able to speak. The nurses knew something wasn’t right.”

“But guess what @unkle_seun said when they tried to refer her because of the severity of her condition?”

‘He didn’t do anything.’ ‘She was just crying.’ ‘That it was one of her normal attacks.’ Normal attack? With bruises on her arms, back, and thighs? With a swollen lip and gum bleeding? Is that your definition of love, Seun?”
