ITALY – A notorious thief met his end of luck after a botched robbery attempt went wrong during a daylight attack on a motorcyclist.
In a CCTV footage that has surfaced on social media the victim who was seated on his motorbike scrolling through his phone was suddenly ambushed by the thief.
The theif who was armed with an axe struck the victim on the head in an attempt to knock him out and snatch his bag.
Fortunately, the victim was wearing a protective helmet, which absorbed the heavy blow and saved his life.

In retaliation, the victim pulled out a firearm and fired at the attacker, hitting him as he tried to flee with the stolen bag.
The wounded thief managed to limp away and was hurriedly whisked into a waiting robbery van by his accomplices before speeding off.
Police have reportedly launched an investigation into the incident and are working to track down the suspects, who are believed to be part of a notorious robbery syndicate that has been terrorizing the area in recent weeks.
