Odo Broni’s Supporters Hold Emotional Prayer Session Following Manhyia’s Ruling

Supporters of Odo Broni, have expressed their disappointment following the Manhyia Palace’s ruling on the ongoing family feud surrounding the musician’s funeral arrangements.

On Monday, November 10, 2025, the late singer’s elder sister, Ernestina Fosu, and Abusuapanin Kofi Owusu appeared at Manhyia Palace for the third time within days, as part of the Palace’s intervention in the escalating family dispute.

The closed-door session, presided over by several prominent chiefs including Otumfuo’s linguist, Baffour Kantankrakye, ended with significant rulings that reshaped the direction of the late musician’s final rites.

Among the key decisions, the funeral date was postponed from December 6 to December 13, 2025, while the funeral committee led by Abusuapanin Kofi Owusu was dissolved.

The chiefs also granted Ernestina and other family members permission to conduct a new autopsy on the late singer’s body — a demand they had long insisted on amid allegations of foul play.

The ruling reportedly left supporters of Odo Broni, who had sided with the Abusuapanin throughout the dispute, heartbroken.

Later that night, during a TikTok live session, the group — led by outspoken evangelist and social media personality Freda Afriyie — held a prayer and worship session to express their grief and seek divine intervention.

In an emotional TikTok live session, participants were seen praying, singing solemn hymns, and calling on God to restore peace and justice.

Freda Afriyie, who has been one of Odo Broni’s most vocal defenders online, broke down in tears during the live broadcast, lamenting what she described as an unfair outcome.
