Majority will ensure Afenyo-Markin works within the law – Francis Xavier-Sosu

Francis Xavier-Sosu, Member of Parliament for Madina, has stated that while the Minority Leader, Alexander Afenyo-Markin, should be allowed to perform his duties, the majority in Parliament will ensure he does so strictly within the confines of the law.
Speaking on JoyPrime on Wednesday, Xavier-Sosu commented on the Minority Leader’s conduct during the vetting of the Chief Justice nominee on Tuesday.
“He (Alexander Afenyo-Markin) is a great guy, he is a great politician, I believe that he is doing the law’s work, and he must be allowed to do his work. He is the opposition leader; he must oppose, we must allow him to do his work,” the Madina MP said.
“Except that as people who are in a commanding majority now, we are also bound to use the rules, to regulate how he does his work, so do your job, but we will ensure that he will do it within the limit of the law,” he added.
His remarks came amid discussions on the Minority Leader’s conduct during the vetting of the Chief Justice nominee, Justice Paul Baffoe-Bonnie, on Tuesday.
