EPL: ‘I was badly wrong’ – Neville names three teams that could win title

Manchester United legend, Gary Neville, has named three teams capable of winning the Premier League title this season.
He said that three teams can still win the title following Manchester City’s thrashing of Liverpool on Sunday.
Manchester City defeated Liverpool 3-0 at the Etihad Stadium in Pep Guardiola’s 1000th game as a manager.
Erling Haaland put the home side in front after he missed a penalty earlier in the game.
Virgil van Dijk headed in what would have been the equaliser but his effort was disallowed by the referee for offside.
Nico Gonzalez then made it 2-0 for Pep Guardiola’s side before half-time and Jeremy Doku put the game beyond Liverpool’s reach with a brilliant third.
The defeat meant that the Reds have now been defeated 5 times in 11 games and now 8th in the Premier League table.
The last season’s champions are also 8 points behind Arsenal.
Neville sees Manchester City as the biggest challengers for the title, adding that Arsenal should be worried.
Neville said on Sky Sports podcast, “They [Man City] are four points off Arsenal, they’ve got experience and they’ve got players who have been around the block and know how to win titles.
“He will just want to hang on Mikel Arteta’s shoulder by March because he’s the one you don’t want near you.
“I thought the biggest challenger [to title favourites Arsenal] would be Liverpool, I thought Man City were too inconsistent, but it looks like I was badly wrong.”
Asked if he thinks Liverpool could still challenge for the title, Neville added, “I’m going to say yes.”
Manchester City have come from behind twice to take the title from Arsenal and Liverpool were the winners last season, with Mikel Arteta’s side still finishing second.
