Former Chelsea midfielder, Geremi Njitap has compared the club’s legend, Frank Lampard to Cole Palmer.
According to the Cameroonians, the duo are both goal scorers, adding that Palmer is more of an attacking player.
Palmer has been a revelation since joining the Blues from Manchester City in 2023.
The England international has won some trophies for Chelsea, including the FIFA Club World Cup.
Speaking with FourFourTwo, Geremi said, “Frank Lampard and Cole Palmer are both goal scorers.
“They can score at any time during the game. When you look at the way Frank used to play his role, he was a No.8, a player who would go from box to box.
“Palmer is more of an attacking player, but he has a lot of technical quality.”
“Palmer was nothing short of fantastic in that [Club World Cup] final. I was so shocked. PSG were the team to beat; they were winning absolutely everything. But, Chelsea were convincing winners.”
