Maresca singles out Chelsea player after 3-0 win over Wolves

Chelsea manager, Enzo Maresca, has singled out Willian Estevao for praise, claiming the teenager “raised the energy” as they thrashed Wolves 3-0 on Saturday.

The result saw the Blues go second in the table.

Maresca’s men were booed off at half time, after they failed to score against a team sitting bottom of the Premier League.

But six minutes after the brake, Malo Gusto headed Chelsea in front.

The mood was further transformed when Estevao came off the bench and immediately set up a second for João Pedro.

Pedro Neto then tapped home the third from Alejandro Garnacho’s cross.

“I was very worried before this game,” Maresca said.

“These are the worst games, they’re tricky. Everyone is thinking it’s going to be easy.

“I can understand first half people were not happy because we didn’t score. Then when Estêvão came on the energy raised because people love that kind of player.”
