Two victims confirmed dead as bus crashes into bush in Abia

Two male victims have been confirmed dead in an accident that happened after the Isiala Ngwa junction section of Enugu-Aba-Port Harcourt Expressway, on Thursday.
About ten other passengers also suffered various degrees of injuries but were taken to the hospital for treatment by men of the Federal Road Safety Corps, FRSC.

The accident involved a white 18-seater Toyota Bus belonging to a popular transport company in Abia.
According to eyewitnesses and sympathisers, the bus loaded with passengers took off in Umuahia and was heading to Aba.
They added that one of the tyres burst in motion, forcing the bus into a bush where it somersaulted severely before crashing.
An eyewitness, Chimezie McLawrence advised bus drivers to reduce their speed to save their lives and those of their passengers.

DAILY POST gathered that the scene of the road accident was not far from the site where another accident had claimed the life of a little child in August, 2025.
Confirming the latest incident to DAILY POST, the Sector Commander of Federal Road Safety Corps, Abia Sector Command, Ngozi Ezeoma said that two male adults lost their lives.
“Yes, two male adults died on the spot”, Ezeoma confirmed.
