Dembele Fit as PSG Prepare to Face Bayern Juggernaut

Paris Saint-Germain (PSG) forward Ousmane Dembele has been declared fit ahead of today’s highly anticipated UEFA Champions League clash against Bayern Munich, coach Luis Enrique has confirmed.
Dembele, who netted in PSG’s victory over Bayern during the Club World Cup quarter-finals, had been a concern after feeling discomfort in his right thigh during a recent Ligue 1 game against Lorient. The France international played only 18 minutes in Saturday’s 3-1 win over Nice.
“We do not take risks with any players. But Ousmane Dembele is fit, he has been in every training session for the last two weeks,” Luis Enrique told reporters on Monday. “He is improving his physical fitness and he will certainly play tomorrow. I do not know for how many minutes, but he will play because he is ready to compete.”
Bayern Munich, meanwhile, enter the tie in formidable form, having won 15 consecutive matches across all competitions since their loss to PSG in July. The German champions remain unbeaten in the Bundesliga this season and have also won all three of their Champions League group matches — the same record as PSG, with both teams equal on goal difference.
PSG are unbeaten in their last eight matches in all competitions, and Luis Enrique is optimistic his side can maintain that run at home.
“We know how difficult it will be. We are ready and motivated to win,” he said. “I think there will be similar situations to what we saw in the United States last summer — lots of intensity. In front of our supporters, with the atmosphere we create every game, we’re confident that we can improve our performance level to overcome their pressure.”
