NPFL: Maikaba okays Wikki Tourists draw with Barau FC

Wikki Tourists’ Technical Adviser, Abdu Maikaba, has described Sunday’s 0-0 draw with Barau FC as a positive result for his side, DAILY POST reports.
The Bauchi Elephants extended their unbeaten streak to two games following the stalemate.
Maikaba’s side outplayed their hosts in the game but were let down by poor finishing.
Barau’s goalkeeper, Yusuf Mohammed, also denied the visitors with a couple of good saves.
The gaffer said it was important that his team claimed a point from the game.
“It was important we were able to grab a point here in Kano, which means a lot as far as the league is concerned,” Maikaba told the club’s media after the keenly contested encounter.
“We’ll keep improving, strategise better, and ensure we perform even stronger in coming games.”
Wikki Tourists will host Niger Tornadoes in their next game this weekend.
