Northern RFA holds Ordinary Congress in Tamale

The Northern Regional Football Association (NRFA) has successfully on Friday held its 2025 Ordinary Congress in Tamale, bringing together club representatives, coaches, referees, and football administrators to review the previous season and outline strategic plans for the new football year.
The Congress was chaired by the Northern Regional FA Chairman, Alhaji Abu-Hassan Mahamadu (Rhyzo).
In his opening remarks, Chairman Rhyzo applauded stakeholders for their dedication and resilience throughout the past season, emphasising the region’s continuous growth in talent development and competition organisation.
Chairman Rhyzo stressed the need for clubs to maintain professionalism, avoid acts of hooliganism, and embrace digital administrative systems being rolled out by the GFA to ensure transparency and efficiency in the game.
Representing the President of the Ghana Football Association (GFA), Mr Kurt Edwin Simeon-Okraku, was GFA Executive Council member, Eugene Noel Nobel, who commended the NRFA leadership for their consistency in driving grassroots football and maintaining active competitions despite challenges.
During the session, delegates discussed the upcoming football calendar, compliance with regulations, and measures to enhance matchday organisation and officiating standards. –Ghanafa.org
