A rich display of culture and tradition heralded the installation of Nana Efua Yeborwah as the new Guantoahemaa of Abura-Dunkwa, capital of the Abura-Asebu-Kwamankese District of the Central Region, at the weekend.
No wonder the colourful ceremony attracted a huge crowd of people from all walks of life.
Exuding courage and confidence, the new Guantoahemaa, 49, swore the oath of allegiance to the Guantoahene, Nana Kojo Dadzie, who stood in for Nana Owusu Kokor II, Chief of Abura-Dunkwa.
Nana Yeborwah, known in private life as Maame Efua Amoasiwaa and popularly called Efua Nkoso, hails from the Nsona No. 2 family and is a prominent trader at Mankessim.
She succeeds the late Guantoahemaa, Nana Ekua Boakowah.
