Pope John’s crushes competition to secure place in NSMQ quarter final stage

Pope John’s Senior High and Minor Seminary has delivered a commanding performance in their National Science and Maths Quiz preliminary (NSMQ) contest, earning a well-deserved spot in the one-eighth stage.
At the CNC Auditorium, the Koforidua-based school faced Ghana SHS, Tamale and Awudome SHS — but from the first round, it was clear who was in control.
Pope John’s dominated all five rounds, finishing with a solid 58 points, while Ghana SHS, Tamale and Awudome SHS managed 25 and 23 points, respectively.

With this emphatic win, Pope John’s not only keeps their seeded status but also sends a strong signal to their next opponents — they mean business this year.
The 2025 edition of the National Science and Maths Quiz continues at the CNC Auditorium with more schools battling for a slot in the next stage.
