Nigerian Hawker In Ghana Threatens Retaliation After Clash With Tafo Municipal Revenue Collectors

A Nigerian phone accessories hawker in Ghana has sparked outrage after threatening retaliation against Ghanaians living in Nigeria.
This follows a heated confrontation with revenue collectors from the Old Tafo Municipal Assembly in the Ashanti Region.
The incident which reportedly occurred along a busy street in Old Tafo began when municipal revenue officers approached the trader to collect a tax fee of GHS105 required from street vendors operating in the area.
Citing the video, the Nigerian street hawker became agitated after being asked to make a half payment.

He argued that he did not have the money and refused to follow the officers to the Assembly’s office for further discussions.
The disagreement quickly escalated which forced him to also issue threats to retaliate against Ghanaians living in Nigeria if he returns to his home country.
The video of the confrontation which has since gone viral on social media has sparked heated reactions among Ghanaians, with many calling on authorities to address the matter swiftly to prevent diplomatic tension.
