Al-Nassr captain, Cristiano Ronaldo has revealed that achieving success is not a matter of luck.
Ronaldo stated this after he scored a goal and registered an assist in Al-Nassr’s 5-1 win over Al-Fateh in the Saudi Pro League on Saturday.
His goal against Al-Fateh saw him achieve an incredible record of 800 goals in club football.
Ronaldo is now the first footballer in history to reach 800 goals in club football, having played for the likes of Sporting CP, Juventus, Manchester United and Real Madrid in the past.
In a post via his official Instagram handle after the game, Ronaldo wrote:
“Success is not an accident.”
During the encounter, Joao Felix scored a hat-trick, while Kingsley Coman scored a goal.
The win means Al-Nassr are on top of the Saudi Pro League table with 15 points from five games.
Al-Nassr will face Goa in the AFC Cup tie on Wednesday at the Fatorda Stadium.
