The arrests were carried out in the early hours of Monday, June 23, 2025, during coordinated raids on locations in the Iworoko and Ijado areas of Ado-Ekiti, Ekiti State.
Operatives of the Ibadan Zonal Directorate of the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC) have arrested 34 individuals suspected of involvement in internet-related fraud.
The arrests were carried out in the early hours of Monday, June 23, 2025, during coordinated raids on locations in the Iworoko and Ijado areas of Ado-Ekiti, Ekiti State.
The operation followed actionable intelligence linking the suspects to various online fraud schemes.
According to the commission, a number of items were seized during the operation. These include eleven luxury vehicles, several laptops, numerous mobile phones, and various documents believed to be connected to fraudulent activities.
All suspects are currently in custody and will face prosecution upon the conclusion of ongoing investigations.
