NPFL: Niger Tornadoes warn fans against violence ahead of Plateau United clash

Niger Tornadoes have issued a stern warning to the club supporters ahead of their highly anticipated derby with Plateau United.

The Ikon Allah Boys will do battle with Plateau United at the Bako Kontagora Stadium, Minna on Sunday.

Chairman of the club, Engr Dada urged fans to refrain from violence and allow match officials to do their job.

“I’ll therefore like to call on our supporters to reiterate that violence has no place in football and should not be perpetrated because it has a negative way of affecting any club that is found wanting,” Dada told Niger Tornadoes media.

“The recent incident at one of the league venues in the NPFL that resulted in a 3-points deduction, stadium ban, and heavy fines is a great setback to the actual team.”

Dada appealed to fans to continue supporting the team positively, emphasizing that their backing is vital to the team’s success.

The derby match promises to be an intense affair, and Niger Tornadoes are keen to ensure that the game is played in a safe and respectful environment.
