Fake Soldier Exposed For Deceiving Nurse Into Romantic Relationship

A shocking case of deception has come to light after a Ghanaian nurse, Esther Onsonyameye, discovered that the man she believed to be a soldier was actually a shoeshiner operating around Burma Camp in Accra.
According to a report by Crime Check TV, the impostor, identified as Frank Anaab posed as a Ghana Armed Forces officer and used fake military photos on social media to lure unsuspecting women, including Esther, into romantic and financial relationships.
Esther, who admitted to having a soft spot for men in uniform, revealed that she met Frank TikTok after he flaunted pictures of himself dressed in military attire.
Out of admiration, she quickly fell in love with him and even vowed never to marry anyone who wasn’t a soldier.
“I bought assorted provisions, mosquito nets, bedsheets, and other things to make him comfortable at his camp, not knowing he was a fake soldier. He deceived me,” Esther recounted emotionally.
For nearly a year, Esther maintained a relationship with Frank, who frequently stayed with her but claimed to report for “night duties” at the barracks.

Convinced of his authenticity, she even supported him financially, believing he would repay her once he received his salary.
The truth began to unravel when Esther proudly shared photos of her supposed soldier boyfriend on social media. Within hours, several women reached out, claiming they too were in relationships with the same man.
Shocked and humiliated, Esther teamed up with the other victims to confront Frank. During the confrontation, he reportedly failed to provide his unit number or any valid service details, exposing him as a fraud.
Further investigations revealed that Frank was a shoeshiner working around Burma Camp, who had also been posing as a military recruiter, extorting money from desperate individuals under the guise of helping them enlist in the army.
Frank has since been arrested and handed over to the authorities for further investigation.
A heartbroken Esther told Crime Check TV that the ordeal has left her disillusioned and emotionally drained.
“Maybe I was too genuine,” she said. “I just wanted to love someone I thought was disciplined and honest.”
