I’ll not contest New Juaben South seat again – Micheal Okyere

The Member of Parliament for New Juaben South in the Eastern Region, Michael Okyere Baafi, has announced that he will not seek re-election after his current term ends.
According to him, his mission in politics is almost complete. “That is what (not to contest again) I decided to do, I have taken a decision already,” he said in a One-On-One interview on JoyPrime.

“You should have principles and so sometimes you decided to do things and you say this is what I want to do for myself, I want to do it within this period,” he explained.
The MP emphasised that, “I do business, I will still do business.”
Mr Okyere Baafi, who previously served as Deputy Minister for Trade and Industry and Executive Secretary of the Ghana Free Zones Board, noted that his political journey has been fulfilling but insists his passion for business remains strong.
