Family of late Apostle Kwadwo Safo visits Speaker of Parliament


The family of the late Apostle Kwadwo Safo, founder of the Kristo Asafo Church, has paid a courtesy call on the Speaker of Parliament, Rt. Hon. Alban Sumana Kingsford Bagbin, to formally inform him of the Apostle’s passing.

He died on Thursday, September 11, 2025. He was 77 years old.

The family also briefed the Speaker on arrangements for the 40-day memorial observance.

Welcoming the delegation to Parliament House, the Speaker expressed his heartfelt condolences to the family and the entire Kristo Asafo fraternity.

He commended the late Apostle Safo for his remarkable contributions to Ghana’s spiritual growth, industrial innovation, and scientific advancement.

Mr Bagbin further encouraged the family to remain united, set aside internal differences, and collectively preserve the peaceful legacy and visionary ideals of the late Apostle, whose work continues to inspire generations across the country.

He is remembered as a man of God, a technological icon, a philanthropist, an agriculturalist, and an industrialist. 

Apostle Kwadwo Safo over the years established himself as a well-known preacher, inventor, innovator, physicist, chemist, biologist, agriculturalist and philanthropist.

Nicknamed ‘The Star of Africa”, he was also the founder of the Great KOSA network of companies and the Chairman of the Kantanka Group of Companies.

He founded Kantanka Automobile, a Ghana-based automotive company, and the Kristo Asafo Mission, a religious and industrial organisation.

Apostle Safo was known for his contributions to local manufacturing and technological innovation in Ghana, particularly through vehicles like the Kantanka Omama SUV and Onantefo pickup truck, designed for African markets.
