Hamas names four hostages whose bodies will be transferred to Red Cross

Hamas has released the names of four deceased hostages whose bodies are expected to be handed over to the International Committee of the Red Cross later on Monday.
According to a statement issued by the terror group, the four hostages are Guy Illouz, Yossi Sharabi, Bipin Joshi, and Daniel Perez. Hamas did not specify the exact timing of the transfer.
The fate of Bipin Joshi, a Nepali agricultural student studying in Israel, had previously remained unconfirmed. Israeli authorities had expressed “grave concern” over his condition for months.
Guy Illouz was abducted from the Nova music festival during the October 7, 2023 Hamas attacks.
He later died from his wounds in a Gaza hospital, reportedly after being denied adequate medical treatment.
His death was confirmed by Israeli officials in December 2023.
Daniel Perez, 22, a platoon commander in the IDF’s 7th Armored Brigade, was killed in combat against Hamas militants on October 7, 2023. He was from Yad Binyamin.
Yossi Sharabi, 53, from Kibbutz Be’eri, was kidnapped from his home the same day and killed while in captivity. He was the brother of freed hostage Eli Sharabi, who was released earlier this year.
The transfer of the four bodies comes amid ongoing negotiations between Israel and Hamas over the return of hostages and victims’ remains as part of a fragile ceasefire deal.
