NPFL: Amapakabo speaks on Abia Warriors’ Oriental derby loss to Rangers

Abia Warriors technical adviser, Imama Amapakabo has blamed his players for the 2-0 defeat to Rangers.

Iwundu Chidozie and Godwin Obaje’s first half goals sealed the win for the Flying Antelopes at the Nnamdi Azikiwe Stadium, Enugu on Wednesday.

Rangers moved to fifth position on the league table with 11 points following the win.

Amapakabo believed that his team lost to technical mistakes in the game.

“One of the players was a bit slow, but technical mistakes can not be referred to as tactical mistakes they are two different things,” Amapakabo told reporters after the game.

“Rangers didn’t create any chance but they scored, If we need our league to grow we just have to do away with the time wasting antics of home teams hiding the ball when they lead these actions is bad for the NPFL.”

Abia Warriors will do battle with leaders Nasarawa United in their next game at the Lafia City Stadium on Sunday.
