2025/2026 National Service Applicants to Reapply – NSA

The National Service Authority (NSA) has directed over 12,000 applicants who registered for the 2025/2026 National Service to reapply, following the cancellation of their previous registration by the Authority.
According to the NSA, concerns were raised over the details of more than 2,000 applicants due to insufficient credible data uncovered during thorough audits and investigations.

Addressing a press conference in Accra yesterday, the Director-General, Ms Ruth Dela Seddoh, announced that eligible applicants should re-register between October 8 and 15, 2025, and assured them that those who made payments during the previous registration would have their funds refunded.
Ms Seddoh explained that a new posting system had been rebuilt to make every stage of the process seamless, transparent, and easier to manage. She emphasised that all applicants must complete their registration via the official portal — gnsa.gov.gh.
“Due to several issues related to questionable data presented and the need to ensure the integrity of all information provided, I am sorry to inform you that all registrants who registered in June 2025 will need to register again, as the previous registrations are now cancelled. However, all those who made payments in June, I assure you that your monies will be refunded immediately,” she said.
She added that with the creation of the new portal, measures had been implemented to ensure national service becomes a truly seamless process with minimal challenges, stressing that personnel welfare remains a top priority under the new regime.
Ms Seddoh further revealed that the new management had introduced stringent reforms and enhanced internal controls, including proper banking procedures to combat payroll fraud. The Authority, she noted, was also collaborating with the Controller and Accountant-General’s Department to address such issues within the system.
“Against this backdrop, the Authority plans to embark on a radical and ambitious expansion of all demonstration farms, incorporating state-of-the-art technology — including AI, Smart Agriculture, and climate solutions — to create job opportunities for today’s graduates.
This initiative aims to provide graduates with tech, digital, and soft skills in areas such as digital marketing, website development, and cybersecurity, preparing them for the demands of today’s technology-driven world,” she said.
She noted that all service personnel would now complete the familiar steps using their Ghana Card for verification, posting, and allowance tracking. The new portal will feature a personalised dashboard for each user, displaying posting details, institution information, duty reports, and a certificate embedded with a QR code.
Ms Seddoh also disclosed that, in response to the President’s directive for basic military training aimed at promoting discipline, civic responsibility, and physical development, the NSA, in collaboration with the Ghana Armed Forces, will begin implementing the training for the first 10,000 national service personnel starting this year.
