They are fake adverts and websites – GOIL cautions Ghanaians



The Ghana Oil Company Limited (GOIL) has distanced itself from a number of fraudulent social media posts and fake websites circulating online.

According to the Oil Marketing Company, these advertisements and websites are FAKE and not authorised by GOIL.

“GOIL has not launched any investment scheme that guarantees monthly returns on shares or cards”, it stated in a press release from the Corporate Affairs Department’

“Any use of GOIL’s name, logo, or image in such promotions is considered fraudulent and intended to mislead the public”, it explained further.

“We caution the general public to disregard such stories and to avoid engaging with promoters of these scams. For accurate information about GOIL, please rely only on our official website (https://www.goil.com.gh) and social media pages (Facebook (GOIL.official), Instagram (goil_gh), Twitter/X (@GOIL.Official), Linkedin (https://www.linkedin.com/company/ghana-oil-company-limited/)”, it pointed out.

It concluded that GOIL remains committed to delivering trusted products and services to Ghanaians, adding, “Verify First. Stay Vigilant”.
