The Bono Regional Chairman of the New Patriotic Party (NPP), Kwame Baffoe, popularly known as Abronye DC, has launched strong accusations against former Assin Central MP and flagbearer hopeful, Kennedy Agyapong, claiming his actions have gravely undermined the party’s unity and public image.
Abronye’s remarks come in the wake of a petition filed by the party citing him for misconduct.
The allegations include defaming Kennedy Agyapong, making false claims against the General Secretary, and misrepresenting the findings of a disciplinary report.
The NPP leadership has subsequently referred the matter to the National Disciplinary Committee for full investigation, reiterating its commitment to discipline and integrity within the party.
In a statement dated September 30, 2025, Abronye confirmed that he had received an invitation from the party’s General Secretary, Justin Frimpong Kodua, and declared his readiness to appear before the committee.
He pledged to present evidence of what he described as the “antichrist actions and inactions” of Kennedy Agyapong, which, according to him, have eroded cohesion and damaged the credibility of the NPP.
Abronye further called for the disciplinary proceedings to be made public and broadcast live, insisting that party members and the general public deserve to witness what he claims is the destructive role played by Agyapong within the party.
