GES sacks Assistant Headmaster academics of KNUST for chopping a female student


The Ghana Education Service has removed the assistant headmaster academics of KNUST Senior High School, Mr. Charles A Addo from office.

The decision of the GES was made known in a communique released on September 29 which was signed by the head of public relations, Daniel Fenyi.

According to the GES, “the attention of the management of the Ghana Education Service was drawn to a viral video circulating on social media allegedly involving Mr. Charles Akwasi Aidoo, the assistant headmaster (academics) of KNUST senior high school, in a compromised position with a female student.

The communique goes on to add that “Management views this matter with utmost seriousness. In line with our commitment to safeguarding the integrity of the teaching professionals ensuring the safety and welfare of students under our care, Mr. Aidoo has already been removed from office and prohibited from going to the school while thorough investigations are being carried out.

The management assured however that “the appropriate disciplinary action will be taken in accordance with the code of conduct of the Ghana Education Service”.
