The Kano State House of Assembly has received two names from Governor Abba Kabir Yusuf for appointment as commissioners.
The Speaker, Jibril Ismail Falgore, read the governor’s letter during plenary, saying the nominations were made under constitutional powers.
Those nominated are Abdulkarim Rabiu Maude, SAN and Dr. Aliyu Isa Aliyu, former Director-General of the Kano Bureau of Statistics.
According to the governor, both men were chosen based on merit, integrity, and their track record in public service.
The Speaker announced that the nominees are expected to appear before the House on Tuesday, 30th September, 2025, for screening and possible confirmation.
