EPL: Micah Richards blames two Man Utd players after Brentford defeat, blasts ‘stubborn’ Amorim

Former Manchester City defender, Micah Richards has blamed two Manchester United players following the Red Devils’ Premier League 3-1 defeat to Brentford on Saturday.
Richards also slammed Man United manager, Ruben Amorim over his formation, describing the Portuguese as a ‘stubborn’ manager.
Goals from Igor Thiago and Mathias Jensen gave Brentford the victory against United at the Gtech Community Stadium.
Benjamin Sesko did score against the hosts as Bruno Fernandes missed a penalty.
“It was shambolic,” Richards told BBC Sport. “I still think the system is hampering them. They are not sure where they are meant to be.
“In terms of the goals though, there were individual errors. Harry Maguire trying to play offside for the first one – there is no point gambling there.
“Then, for the second goal, De Ligt doesn’t know where he is going and then Maguire is not sure where to position himself. It’s 100% confusion caused by playing that system – it doesn’t suit the players there.
“I think because Ruben Amorim is being so stubborn in what he is trying to do, it could be the undoing of him down the line.”
