Trotro Mate Confesses To Murder, Admits Wrongfully Implicating Driver In Case

A chilling story of betrayal and crime invloving a trotro mate and his driver has surfaced on social media.

The trotro mate has confessed to murdering a woman and falsely accusing his driver relative of the crime.

According to police and family accounts, Isaac Arhin, a mate (bus conductor), had been living with his driver and cousin, Evans Mensah, until he was kicked out for allegedly having an affair with a 13-year-old passenger who regularly boarded their vehicle.

Homeless and embittered, Isaac was later taken in by a pastor, who allowed him to live with his mother-in-law.

But in a shocking turn of events, Isaac murdered the elderly woman in cold blood.

Investigators say he first hit her with a pestle before suffocating her with a polythene bag, stealing GH?1,500 in cash from her room.

Police sources also have it that when Isaac was arrested and beaten to name his accomplice, he falsely implicated his driver cousin, Evans, in a bid to “teach him a lesson” for earlier slapping him and for expelling him from his home.

Both men were remanded in custody for two months as investigations continued.

However, Isaac has now confessed that Evans was innocent, saying he acted alone in the crime. He reportedly told investigators that guilt and sleepless nights had driven him to clear his cousin’s name.

Despite his confession, legal hurdles remain in securing Evans Mensah’s release from remand, as the case has already been filed in court with both men listed as suspects.

Human rights advocates and community leaders are calling for urgent action to free Evans and ensure that justice is served.

Police say investigations are ongoing and further updates will be communicated to the public.
