God didn’t call me to be pastor, pray for me to continue supporting you – Wike tells Gov Umo Eno

The Minister of the Federal Capital Territory, FCT, Nyesom Wike, has urged Governor Umo Eno of Akwa Ibom State to continue praying for him because God didn’t call him to be a pastor.

Wike said while Eno prays for him, he would continue to support the governor to carry out his duties.

He made the call during the commissioning of the Ikot-Esu-Otomo-Azumini road in Akwa Ibom State yesterday.

The minister urged the governor to imbibe the culture of forgiveness, stressing that such is not a weakness but a show of strength.

Wike said: “Continue to do good, forgiveness is not a weak point, rather it’s strength. It doesn’t matter what happens, relate with people who have helped you before, it does not mean that you are weak but you have taken a decision to move Akwa Ibom forward and that’s the decision that I will continue to support you.

“But all those you relate with, continue to give them their respect, you are a humble man, you are a man of God and allow those of us… the truth is that me, I don’t know if I can be a pastor.

“It takes a man of strong character and continue to pray for me because God has given it to you, but me, I will continue to support you.

“So, you that God said you should be praying, pray while I will continue to support you. The politics I believe is that you do for me, I do for you, you fall for me, I fall for you.”
