Akwa Ibom: States will get more money under Tinubu – Wike

The Minister of the Federal Capital Territory, FCT, Nyesom Wike, on Wednesday disclosed that President Bola Tinubu would ensure that states get more money to carry out their projects.
Wike disclosed this during the commissioning of the Ikot Esu – Otomo – Azumini Road.
The Minister was earlier received by the governor in Uyo, the state capital.
At the event, Wike said: “And where is he getting more money now, it’s under President Bola Tinubu. More money coming to States under Tinubu.”
On his part, the governor said the state is united and would support Tinubu’s second term.
He disclosed that Tinubu is stabilizing Nigeria’s economy, adding that he has made funds available to State governors.
Eno said: “In Akwa Ibom State, both APC and PDP are united. We are united to support President Bola Tinubu for a second term because of all that he is doing.
“We know where he took up from and we have seen that the government is stabilizing, he is doing well for governors and I can tell you that there are funds to do our projects such as this, without owing banks and we are not leaving debts for those who would take over from us.
“So we want to support him and we believe that he should finish. We in Akwa Ibom are united in support of the president.”
