Club World Cup: FIFA's investigation into racism row involving Rudiger, Cabral inconclusive

After reviewing the referee’s report about the racism row involving between Real Madrid’s Antonio Rudiger and Puchuca’s Gustavo Cabral, FIFA has concluded that the situation is far from clear-cut because of lack of clarity.

According to Marca (via Madrid Universal), FIFA’s investigation into the incident remains inconclusive.

FIFA had launched a formal investigation into the matter follow Real Madrid’s 3-1 win against Pachuca.

However, the exchange between Rudiger and Cabral took place directly, without the presence of a visual evidence or clear audio.

As a result, FIFA has found it challenging to decide with full certainty whether a racist insult was made against Rudiger or not.

Meanwhile, speaking after the game, Cabral claimed he called Rudiger “chickens”.

He, however, denied racially abusing the Germany defender during the encounter.
