Police arrest four for car theft, cattle rustling in Jigawa

Police in Jigawa State have arrested four suspected criminals in connection with car theft and cattle rustling in Hadejia local Government.
The Command’s Public Relations Officer, SP. Lawan Shiisu Adam confirmed the incident in a statement issued to DAILY POST on Sunday.
He said three of the suspects were arraigned in connection to car theft in the Hadejia area.
According to the statement, “On 17th September, 2025, at about 1130hrs, the Command’s operatives in Hadejia Local Government Area successfully arrested suspected motor vehicle thieves in connection with the theft of a Daihatsu motor vehicle.
“The suspects are Amadu Dan Zaria, Salisu Ya’u and Musa Muhammad.”
The stolen vehicle was recovered in good condition, he said, adding that investigation into the case had commenced, and the suspect would be charged in court upon completion of a discreet investigation.
Adamu also said the command in collaboration with a local vigilante known as Yanbulala, while on routine patrol at Kwanar Bazawarai, Hadejia town, intercepted a suspected cattle rustler, one Isah Muhammad of Garin Mutum Daya in Kirakasamma LGA, in possession of two (2) bulls reasonably suspected to have been stolen.
He said the suspect was promptly arrested, and the two bulls were recovered.
Preliminary investigation is ongoing, and efforts are being intensified to arrest his accomplices.
