Police arrest Akon in Georgia after being declared wanted

Famous Senegalese-American musician, Akon has been arrested in Georgia.

He was arrested last Friday after Chamblee Police received a wanted person alert for a white Tesla Cybertruck registered to him.

The 52-year-old musician arrest warrant was issued after he refused to appear in court over a ticket related to driving with a suspended license.

The singer was taken to the DeKalb County jail and later booked into another facility after he was handed over to Roswell police. Akon was released on bail later that day.

Roswell’s police report disclosed that the arrest warrant stemmed from an incident that happened on September 10 when officers found Akon’s disabled Cybertruck on a busy street.

A license check confirmed that the singer had no valid auto insurance and also caught driving with a suspended license.
