2026 WCQ playoffs: Super Eagles’ camp bubbles with 11 players for Gabon match


Fourteen players are now in the Super Eagles’ camp in Rabat, Morocco, ahead of Nigeria’s 2026 FIFA World Cup playoff against Gabon on Thursday evening.

Ademola Lookman and Semi Ajayi were the latest players to join the team on Monday.

Nigeria opened camp in Rabat for the playoffs on Sunday.

Eric Chelle’s men held their first training session on Monday, with all 14 players available.

Twelve players, including captain William Troost-Ekong, Stanley Nwabali, Calvin Bassey, and Benjamin Fredrick, were already in camp.

Other players present include Wilfred Ndidi, Tolu Arokodare, Alex Iwobi, Chidozie Awaziem, Chidera Ejuke, Olakunle Olusegun, Moses Simon, and Samuel Chukwueze.

The remaining 10 players are expected to join the camp before Thursday’s match with Gabon.
