‘To die in Christ is gain for me’ – Rev Dachomo reacts to assassination warning

Rev. Ezekiel Dachomo has responded to a revelation by the Anonymous Group that he has been targeted for assassination by Islamic terrorists and bandits within one week over his insistence that Christians are being killed in Plateau State.
Dachomo, who is the regional chairman of the Church of Christ in Nations (COCIN) in Barkin Ladi LGA of the state, has been one of the most vocal clergymen in Nigeria.
He has refused to back down on telling the world the truth about Christian genocide in the state and other parts of Nigeria despite denials by the federal government. In contrast, other men of God have been silent or sitting on the fence regarding the issue.
As a result of his position and the stance he has taken by unveiling videos of killings and mass burials, many have feared that his life may be in danger as the extremists and terrorists are not happy with him for exposing them.
They have even blamed him over the threats of a military intervention by US President Donald Trump and the designation of Nigeria as a “Country of Particular Concerns” (CPC), over the alleged killing of Christians.
The Anonymous Group which is a decentralized, international online collective known for its “hacktivism,” which involves cyber attacks and online protests against entities such as governments, in a post on its Facebook page on Friday, also raised an alarm claiming that Rev. Dachomo has been marked for elimination.
In the post, the Group wrote:
“Photos of Pastor Dachomo Bwede Ezekiel, a man of God, have been circulated among Islamic terrorists and bandits in the former country.
“They have issued orders to assassinate him within the next seven days, believing he is responsible for Trump’s intervention.
“The militants are furious that their livelihoods and their very lives are now in jeopardy and are being masterminded by this man. The instructions are ‘Kill him and cut his head off’.
“Circulate this message and make sure it gets to the family and to Pastor Ezekiel. This is an emergency. Share and mention all your friends and relatives in these areas! This must not happen! This is another blood bath! People would be burnt and brutally slaughtered! This must not happen! Do everything within your power to make this plan a failure! Please we beg!!”
However, the fearless Rev. Dachomo has reacted to the threats to his life by saying he is not afraid of death as long as he stands for the truth.
In a video message posted on his Facebook page, the fiery man of God said he had already sold his soul to Jesus Christ, as to die in His cause is a big gain.
“I have already sold my soul to Jesus Christ; to die is gain and to live to say the truth. I’m rejoicing, welcoming death in good call, but if the will of God says I will still survive, I will continue saying the truth. We love the Muslims, we’re caring for them,” he said.
This is not the first time Rev. Dachomo has faced death threats against his life and has, on several occasions, declared that he is not afraid of death.
In an earlier message he shared on his page, he had said:
“They have been threatening me everywhere, even on social media. They even threatened to kill me during mass burials. They did the same to Senator Gyang Dantong; he was killed during a burial. They have vowed to kill me. Even the Nigerian Army issued a press release against me, accusing me of inciting people. But they are the ones inciting the Muslims against us by refusing to make arrests.”
In another statement, the outspoken Rev. Dachomo had said that he had received many death threats through phone calls and messages, but emphasized that he is not afraid of death and will continue to speak truth to power and defend his people.
