Anambra decides: APC’s Ukachukwu loses own LGA to Soludo

The candidate of the All Progressives Congress, APC, Nicholas Ukachukwu has lost his local government area to his closest rival, Governor Chukwuma Soludo, in the Saturday’s gubernatorial election.
Ukachukwu is from the Nnewi South local government area of the State.
His rival, Soludo, is contesting to secure a second term in office as the governor of the state.
According to the result announced by the Independent National Electoral Commission, INEC, on Sunday in Awka, Ukachukwu scored 9281 votes, while Soludo scored 17286 votes in Nnewi South.

Valid votes – 27400
Rejected votes – 532

DAILY POST earlier reported that Soludo was declared winner of the gubernatorial election in Aguata local government area of Anambra state.
Soludo scored 35559 to defeat his closest rival, Nicholas Ukachukwu of the All Progressives Congress, APC, who scored, 4125.
