ADC develops code of ethics for 2027 elections – El-Rufa’i

Ex-Kaduna State Governor and chieftain of the African Democratic Congress (ADC), Mallam Nasir El-Rufai, says the party is drafting a code of ethics for its leaders and candidates ahead of the 2027 general elections.
Speaking to journalists on Saturday in Gusau, El-Rufai said the ADC is committed to bringing lasting change to Nigeria.
He accused the current administration of President Bola Tinubu of being deceitful, corrupt and insincere.
According to him, the ADC’s constitution stands out among political parties in Nigeria because it includes a vision for ethical leadership.
“The party’s leadership is currently working on a code of ethics that every leader and elected official must sign. It will ensure that those under the ADC focus on good governance, no diversion of public funds, no bribery, and no corruption,” he said.
El-Rufa’i added that only credible and honest members will be given appointments if the ADC wins power, noting that 40 percent of the positions will go to young people.
He urged supporters to beware of impostors trying to divide the party, saying, “The APC will not let you go easily; be careful.”
The ADC also held a stakeholders’ meeting in Zamfara, organised by the party’s deputy national organising secretary, to strengthen unity among members and encourage them to register and get their voter cards.
