UCL: Sparta Prague name ‘miracle player’ in Arsenal squad

Fifteen-year-old Arsenal star, Max Dowman, has been hailed as a ‘miracle player’ following the Gunners’ 3-0 victory over Sparta Prague in the Champions League on Tuesday night.
The youngster made Champions League history with Arsenal when he played in the competition on Tuesday.
Bukayo Saka put Arsenal in front from the penalty spot before Mikel Merino netted twice in the second half.
Dowman was brought on in the second half of the game to become the youngest player in Champions League history at 15 years and 308 days old.
The record was held by Youssoufa Moukoko, who first played in the competition at 16 years and 18 days for Borussia Dortmund in December 2020.
“I know which player it was, but I had no idea he was fifteen years old,” Sparta captain Lukas Provod told reporters after the game.
Sparta defender David Zima added, “Every now and then a miracle player is born.
“This is actually a grown-up player when you see him on the pitch.”
Also speaking about the youngster, Sparta head coach, Jindrich Trpisovsky, said the England new boy did not look out of place against his players.
