Flamingos return home after after U-17 Women’s World Cup exit


Nigeria’s Flamingos are back in the country following their exit from the 2025 FIFA U-17 Women’s World Cup, DAILY POST reports.

The players and their officials touched down at the Nnamdi Azikiwe International Airport, Abuja on Friday morning.

Bankole Olowookere’s side were eliminated from the U-17 Women’s World Cup following a 4-0 loss to Italy in the Round of 16 on Tuesday night.

Nigeria recorded three wins from four matches in the competition.

The West Africans lost to Canada and France in their opening two games.

They defeated Samoa 4-0 in their last group game.
