Leading NPP member donates 50 streetlights to boost security in Fomena Constituency

A leading member of the New Patriotic Party (NPP) in the Adansi North District, Daniel Nana Yaw Acheampong, aka NYA28, has launched an initiative dubbed “Operation Light Up Fomena Constituency”.

It is aimed at improving security and supporting local development.

As part of the initiative, Mr Acheampong donated 50 photocell streetlight bulbs to all 16 elected assembly members in the district.

The gesture, he explained, is intended to help brighten communities across the constituency, enhance safety at night, and boost economic activities after dark.

The donation ceremony brought together key local leaders, including the Presiding Member of the District Assembly, Dominic Odame Kusi, the NPP Youth Organiser, John Nti, and 14 out of the 16 assembly members.

Mr Acheampong expressed appreciation for the warm reception and the commitment shown by the assembly members, noting that the initiative represents more than just a distribution of bulbs.

“This is more than a donation of bulbs, it is a symbol of my dedication to ensuring a safer, brighter, and more developed Adansi North District,” he said.

He further pledged to continue collaborating with local authorities and residents to drive development in the area, emphasising that collective effort remains key to transforming Fomena and its surrounding communities.

“Together, we will continue to work hand in hand to transform our District,” he added.

The Operation Light Up Fomena Constituency initiative forms part of Mr Acheampong’s broader efforts to complement government interventions aimed at improving living standards in the district.
