2025 U-17 WWC: Flamingos crush Samoa to advance to Round of 16
Nigeria’s Flamingos thrashed Samoa 4-0 in their final group game at the 2025 FIFA U-17 Women’s World Cup.
Bankole Olowookere’s side qualified for the Round of 16 as one of the best third-placed teams.
The Flamingos scored three times in the first half. Queen Joseph netted twice, while captain Shakirat Moshood converted from the spot. Moshood missed the chance to score her second of the game from the spot early in the second half. Azeezat Oduntan added Nigeria’s fourth goal 12 minutes from time.
The Flamingos will face Italy in the Round of 16.
